Marcus D Hardin started in the billboard industry in the summer of 1985 at the age of 14. He worked alongside his two brothers James Richie Hardin and John Joseph Hardin under the instruction of their father James D Hardin, learning the installation side of the billboard industry. Marcus would also spend several years for Hillis Outdoor Specialists Inc under James Hillis’s tutelage before returning to the family business of Jon-J-Mar. Marcus eventually started his own installation company in J-Mar Craneworks, Inc. in January 2005.

In 2007, Marcus started an out of office sales position with Selective Structures LLC., bringing his specialized background of performing installation and problem-solving issues associated with installs. This eventually lead to him becoming a partner at Selective Structures LLC. Today he continues to juggle sales and installation consulting through Selective Structures LLC and running a full-time billboard installation crew, including two of his own sons, at J-Mar Craneworks, Inc.
